Rinku Singh, who won the Kolkata Knight Riders with five sixes in the last five balls of the 2023 IPL, no longer needs an introduction. Last Friday, Rinku Singh had a chance to make his debut for Team India. However, his journey from a small village in Uttar Pradesh to Team India has been difficult.
Young batsman Rinku Singh realized his mother’s dream and says his indomitable desire to live in harsh conditions and provide a good life for his parents paved the way for him to join the Indian team.
Rinku Singh told Geo Cinema: “I sweated a lot to make the Indian team. My passion for the game helped me overcome the lack of support and financial difficulties. One thing that motivated me to keep going was giving.” I wanted to provide a good life for my family and that was only possible as I progressed in sport. I had confidence and that made me strong and helped me make progress.”
Rinku Singh, 25, was not selected for the series against the West Indies but his dream came true even before the series against Ireland began. He didn’t have a chance to bat in the first game due to the rain.
Asked about her family’s reaction to her inclusion in the Indian team, Rinku replied: “They were very happy. My mother always told me to work hard if I wanted to make the Indian team. It takes hard work and.” Now that I’ve made it into the Indian team, I’m living his dream.”
He said he really wanted to lift his parents out of poverty. Rinku said: “I have witnessed my family’s financial struggles and wanted to help them through cricket. Motivated to work hard and continue my endeavors.”
