Portuguese golfer Ricardo Melo Gouveia finished his run at the PGA Championship this Sunday, landing in a tie for 54th place. This English tournament, part of the DP World Tour, saw Swedish star Alex Noren claim the top prize after a tense finish.

Gouveia, 34, turned in a score of 70 strokes for his fourth and final round. This put him two shots under par on the Wentworth Golf Club course, located in Virginia Water. His scorecard showed some real fireworks, with two eagles and two birdies. However, four bogeys kept him from climbing higher up the leaderboard.

By the end of the tournament, Gouveia had accumulated a total of 281 strokes. This put him seven shots under par for the entire event. He finished 12 strokes behind the champion, Alex Noren. Noren himself had to work hard for his victory, needing a playoff hole to finally beat French golfer Adrien Saddier.
