The latest scoop from the world of smartphones has it that Redmi, a subsidiary of Xiaomi, is gearing up to unveil a new powerhouse of a device in April. If rumors are to be believed, this upcoming smartphone could very well be the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, which is expected to outdo its predecessor, the Redmi Turbo 4, launched just a few months ago in January.
As per sources, the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro is slated to feature a stunning 6.8-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz, making for a seamless visual experience. What’s more, the screen will come equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner for added convenience and security.
Under the hood, the device will be powered by the robust Snapdragon 8s Elite chip, complemented by a massive 7,550 mAh battery that supports 90W fast charging. While the larger battery may add a bit to the overall weight of the device, which is expected to be around 210 grams – slightly heavier than the Redmi Turbo 4’s 204 grams – the extra power should be well worth it for those who value longevity on a single charge.
In terms of design, the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro is rumored to boast a sturdy metal frame, with both the front and back panels made of glass. The device is also expected to come with IP68/69 water and dust resistance, matching the Redmi Turbo 4’s standards. It’s also likely that the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro will be rebranded as the Poco F7 for international markets, much like the Redmi Turbo 4 was released as the Poco X7 Pro.
Additionally, there’s buzz that Poco is working on two more smartphones – the Poco F7 Pro and F7 Ultra – both of which will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8 Elite chips, respectively. While these are still just rumors for now, one thing’s for sure – the world of smartphones is about to get a whole lot more exciting.
