Raza Murad Clarifies Viral Video Amid Ramadan Rumors

Veteran actor Raza Murad has finally broken his silence on a viral video that showed him apparently drinking alcohol with his close friend and fellow actor Kiran Kumar. However, in a recent clarification, Murad explained that the video was actually a clip from a film shoot that took place in Chhatarpur, Delhi, a few days ago. He revealed that the scene depicted his on-screen birthday celebration, not his real birthday, which falls in November.

Kiran Kumar shared a joint post with Raza Murad, addressing the controversy surrounding the video. Earlier, Murad had commented that people were jumping to conclusions without thinking, assuming he was openly drinking alcohol during the holy month of Ramadan. In his post, Murad wrote, “Please, please, please don’t think that this is some kind of drinking or birthday party. This is a clipping from an under-production film shoot that took place in Chhatarpur, Delhi, where my birthday is being celebrated in the film. This is a scene from the movie.”

Murad further clarified that people were misinterpreting the situation, thinking that they were having a drinking party. He reminded his audience that his birthday is on November 23rd, and the current month is March. He emphasized that, without giving it a thought, people were assuming that they were drinking openly during Ramadan, which is completely incorrect. He reiterated that the video was just a scene from the film shoot and nothing more.

Kiran Kumar captioned the video, “The older the friends, the stronger the friendship! Sometimes when you’re working with friends, the line between reel and real blurs.” Notably, Raza Murad began his acting career in the 1970s and has appeared in films like “Ram Teri Ganga Maili”, “Prem Rog”, “Jodha Akbar”, “Bajirao Mastani”, and “Padmaavat”.

The incident highlights how the lines between an actor’s on-screen and off-screen life can become blurred, leading to misconceptions and misunderstandings. It serves as a reminder to be cautious when interpreting information, especially in the age of social media where context can be easily lost.
