Saloni Batra, who was seen in the role of Ranbir Kapoor’s sister in Animal, has said something about Ranbir’s character in the film that has surprised everyone.
During an interview with DNA, Saloni Batra opened up about the criticism over Ranbir’s tomboyish character in the film. The actress said, “I am a presenter. It’s my job as an actor to do whatever the makers want. Saloni said that the creators had a vision of this character whose nature and temperament were “toxic.” But the film is about them and the director decided to tell it in his own style. The actress further said, “As an audience, it is our responsibility to see and decide what is right and what is wrong.” If this character shoots a gun in college, that doesn’t mean it is right.
Saloni further said that the purpose of Ranbir’s character in ‘Animal’ was not to inspire people and that it was made just for entertainment. He said: “The principal is not a teacher. He is an entertainer.” He stressed that it is the responsibility of the audience not to carry the negativity of any character shown in the film.
Speaking of “Animal”: The film has received an enormous response from audiences. The film grossed Rs 312 million within six days of its release in the domestic market.
