The film’s debut on August 14, 2025, also coincided with a significant milestone for Rajinikanth. He completed 50 years in cinema, adding to the festive atmosphere. Cinema halls were completely sold out on opening day.
UNO Aqua, a company, preemptively declared August 14 a holiday. This move aimed to reduce the flood of leave requests from employees eager to see the film. The company also distributed free tickets to its staff.
As part of the celebrations, the company made charitable donations. Food was provided to orphanages and old age homes. Sweets were also distributed among people.

Ticket prices reached extraordinary levels due to high demand. Fans reported paying up to 4,500 Indian Rupees, approximately $54 USD, for a single ticket in prominent theaters. Many noted that online booking platforms showed tickets as either blocked or already sold out for early shows.
Some screenings of “Coolie” began remarkably early on release day. Shows started as early as 6:00 AM in certain locations, catering to the fervent fan base.

The production budget for “Coolie” was substantial. The film was made with an estimated cost of 400 crore Indian Rupees, which translates to approximately $48 million USD.
The cast of “Coolie” features a lineup of notable actors. These include Nagarjuna, Sathyaraj, Aamir Khan, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, and Shruti Haasan.
