Rajat Bedi: ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ Regret – Rakesh Roshan Said ‘Eat Hrithik’

Bollywood actor Rajat Bedi recently opened up about a specific scene from the 2003 blockbuster film “Koi Mil Gaya.” He revealed that an interaction with director Rakesh Roshan regarding this scene continues to affect him decades later.

Bedi, known for his villainous role in the sci-fi hit, shared the anecdote during a recent interview with News18. He confessed that he lacked maturity as an actor during the film’s production.

The scene in question involved him and co-star Hrithik Roshan, affectionately known as Duggu. Bedi felt his own lines would overshadow Hrithik’s performance.

Director Rakesh Roshan guided him through several takes. He encouraged Bedi to explore different delivery styles for his dialogues.

Roshan eventually approved a take for the scene. However, Bedi recalled that the incident caused him significant pain.

Roshan later pulled him aside to discuss the moment. “Rajat, you know that scene was yours?” Roshan reportedly asked him. “In that scene, you had to eat Duggu, but you didn’t.”

Bedi described feeling heartbroken upon hearing this feedback. He admitted he was not mature enough to grasp Roshan’s directorial vision at the time.

After a long absence from films, Rajat Bedi made a strong comeback this year. He starred in Aryan Khan’s web series “The Badshahs of Bollywood.”

His performance in the series received widespread appreciation. Notably, the show itself referenced Bedi’s real-life struggle of being out of work in the industry for years.

This recent role has marked a significant return for the actor. It follows years of reflection on his earlier career experiences.
