Quadruple Bogey Costs Pedro Figueiredo 16 Places at Rolex Grand Final

Portuguese golfer Pedro Figueiredo plummeted 16 places on the leaderboard at the Rolex Grand Final Friday, his promising start undone by a single catastrophic hole.

He recorded an extraordinary quadruple bogey on the par-five 13th hole during his second round, taking nine strokes. This costly error overshadowed an otherwise solid performance that included four birdies and two bogeys.

Figueiredo finished his second round with a score of 74, two strokes over par. This marked a significant drop from his opening 69, three under par.

The tournament, held at the Alcanada Golf Club in Mallorca, marks the conclusion of the Challenge Tour circuit. It features a limited field of only 45 golfers, ensuring no eliminations before the final rounds on Sunday.

A five-way tie currently leads the event, with players posting 136 strokes, eight under par.
