Until now, the terminal, inaugurated on December 15, 2021, had received two tourist boats at the same time on different occasions, including the largest cruise ship in the world, the Wonder of the seas (Wonder of the Seas), of the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line company.
This Friday they are in port the Norwegian Encore with 4,592 passengers and 1,632 crew, Seven Seas Splendor 707 passengers and 548 crew and the Celebrity Constellation 1,817 passengers and 971 crew.
In addition to this, in the Amber Cove port, of Carnival Cruise in Maimon, is the Carnival Spirit Cruise, with which the number of visitors to both terminals rises to more than 13 thousand people.
Not everyone descends from the cruise ship to get to know the city, but the impact of four simultaneous boats generates a great dynamism in the zone.
This month of March marks a new milestone in the arrival of cruise ships to Puerto Plata, with 67 touches, surpassing the month of January when 61 vessels were received.
It is estimated that the ports of this province will receive more than 1 million five hundred thousand visitors this year.
