Historic Portuguese football club Belenenses has bolstered its squad with the signing of winger Ricardo Isabelinha, who aims to help the team achieve its season goals.
Belenenses announced Wednesday it had officially secured the 26-year-old on a contract running until the end of the current campaign.
Isabelinha, joining as a free agent, spoke of the club’s stature. “Very happy to sign for Belenenses, one of the biggest clubs on the national scene and with international renown,” he told club media.
He added that he intends to help the club meet its objectives for the season, which have now become his personal goal. “The club’s history is inspiring, and I intend to work every day to leave my mark on the club,” Isabelinha stated.
The winger is immediately available for coach Tiago Zorro and expressed eagerness to perform before a full Estádio do Restelo.
Isabelinha had played for 1.º Dezembro in Liga 3 earlier this season, featuring in six matches. His last appearance for 1.º Dezembro was on October 12.
He has also played for several other Portuguese clubs, including Lusitânia dos Açores, Oliveira do Hospital, Moncarapachense, Fontinhas, and Caldas.
