Portimao Circuit Hosts FIM JuniorGP Equator

International Autodrome Algarve marks the starting point for the FIM JuniorGP World Championship, where the candidates for the different categories’ crowns will begin to take shape. The leaders of the respective categories, Marcos Uriarte in the JuniorGP of Moto3, Mattia Casadei in the European Moto2, Marco Morelli in the European Talent Cup, and Lorenzo Dalla Porta in the European Stock, are set to take on the Portuguese test.

Following two falls, Jesus Rios’s lead has been taken over by Marcos Uriarte, who arrives at the Portuguese test leading the Moto3 JuniorGP. Uriarte’s focus is now on the race, stating, “There are only 7 points, we have a good pace and I am going to do everything to try to fight for victory in both races, although I am sure that Uriarte, Morosi and Cruces will be in the fight and they will make it difficult.” Uriarte will have to contend with Guido Pini’s eleventh grid position.

Roberto García, pole in Moto2

Despite Mattia Casadei’s lead in the European Moto2, Daniel Muñoz is looking to repeat his feat from the last test in Catalonia, where he won two victories. Casadei set a time that took him to third place, with Roberto García emerging as the fastest in one lap.

The European Talent Cup is led by Marco Morelli, with Carlos Cano determined to close the gap. The first battle for pole position went to David González, with Carlos Cano coming in second.

Lorenzo Dalla Porta, the leader of the European Stock, will be absent from the Algarve circuit, giving his rivals an opportunity to take advantage. Mario Mayor is looking to take the lead with a victory, despite pushing himself to the limit.
