The National Police won the first place by team in the clay pigeon shooting competitions, Pit modality, in the Military Sports Games held in Higüero, Santo Domingo Norte.
The Gold medal winning team is made up of Ricardo Yunes, David Yunes, Edgar Yunes, Nicolás Yunes, and Joaquín López who accumulated 538 points.
“This medal is part of the motivation that exists among our athletes due to the interest shown by our general director, Eduardo Alberto Then, in supporting competitive sports,” said Colonel Jacobo Mateo Moquete, sports commander of the institution.
He highlighted the effort and interest of the athletes by making an unprecedented pass in the military games by taking a 14-point lead in just two rounds after falling behind the first day by 13 points behind the Air Force.
“We are super motivated, in two weeks it will be the Skeet Shooting modality and we will also dedicate it to Major General Alberto Then,” said team captain Lieutenant Colonel Ricardo Yunes.
The second position went to the Air Force with 537 points, winning the silver medal while the bronze went to the Army of the Dominican Republic with 525 points.
