A 25-year-old with a history of robbery and time behind bars was caught by police. He made a living stealing from buses.
On October 28, 2024, he robbed two buses. The first was at 4:30 am. He got on with a knife, threatened the driver, and took cash and belongings.
Later that day, at 12:15 pm, he did it again – this time with a broken bottle. He got on the 103 line bus at Camino Maldonado and Marbella, cut the 60-year-old driver’s face and arms, and stole 245 pesos.
Police from the Operational Zone III were looking for him. They investigate crimes against public transportation.
This Thursday, the man tried to rob another bus, the 316 line, but the driver fought back and he got off. Then, he got on the 103 line bus at Camino Maldonado and Ovidio Fernández Ríos, in the Punta de Rieles area, and stole 800 pesos with a knife.
The thief was caught by police as he got off the bus.
