Pau Gasol, Dawn Staley, and Mike Krzyzewski Lead this Year’s Inductees

The FIBA Hall of Fame is adding nine new members to its prestigious roster in 2025. Pau Gasol, Dawn Staley, and Mike Krzyzewski are among the notable inductees who will be honored in a ceremony on May 17.

A Legendary Career for Pau Gasol

Pau Gasol’s impressive resume includes leading Spain to its first FIBA World Cup title in 2006. He was named the tournament’s MVP and went on to win two NBA championships with the Los Angeles Lakers. Gasol, a five-time Olympian, also won three EuroBasket titles and was Spain’s flag bearer at the 2012 London Olympics.

Dawn Staley’s Unmatched Success

Dawn Staley is a highly decorated basketball legend. As a player, she won three Olympic gold medals and two FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup titles. Staley was also the flag bearer for the United States at the 2004 Athens Olympics. As a coach, she led the US team to gold at the 2018 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup and the 2020 Olympics.

The Honorable Coach Mike Krzyzewski

Mike Krzyzewski, affectionately known as “Coach K,” has had an illustrious career. He led the US team to Olympic gold in 2008 and the 2010 FIBA World Cup. Krzyzewski also won two more Olympic gold medals and another world title before stepping down as national coach in 2016.

* Leonor Borrell, a three-time Olympian and Cuba’s greatest basketball player
* Alphonse Bilé, a two-time AfroBasket winner and Ivory Coast’s leading figure
* Fadi El Khatib, a three-time World Cup participant and Lebanese basketball icon
* Ratko Radovanovic, a talented center with nine medals for Yugoslavia, including a World Cup, Olympic gold, and EuroBasket title.
