Pakistan took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series after recording a victory in the second ODI against the West Indies. At the second ODI in Multan, Pakistan won by 120 runs. Batting first, Pakistan scored 275 runs in this match. In response, the West Indies team was reduced to just 155 runs. Pakistani bowler Mohammad Nawaz was ‘Man of the Match’. He took 4 wickets for just 19 runs.

In the second ODI in Multan, Pakistan captain Babar Azam won the toss and chose to bat first. After losing ground to starter Fakhar Zaman (17) early, there was a strong 120-run partnership between Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam. Imam left after scoring 72 runs, while Babar played a 77-run inning. Other than these two, no other Pakistani batsman could stay in the crease for long. Mohammad Rizwan (15), Mohammad Haris (6) and Mohammad Nawaz (3) soon returned to the arena. However, the tail batsmen added a few runs to take Pakistan to 275 runs.

Chasing the goal of 276 runs, the West Indies lost their first wicket by four runs. But after this, Kyle Meyers (33) and Shamar Brooks (42) added 67 runs in extravagant fashion. The Windies team looked strong after making 71 runs for the loss of a wicket in 10 overs at a time. It was here that Kyle Meyers’ wicket fell and then, one after another, the batsmen began to return to the pavilion. In this way, the entire West Indies team was reduced to just 155 runs. For Pakistan, Mohammad Nawaz took 4 and Mohammad Wasim took 3 wickets. Shadab Khan got 2 and Shahin Afridi got 1 wicket.

Pakistan won the three match series by winning the second ODI in Multan. In the first match too, the Pakistan team came out victorious. In the first match, Pakistan easily chased the target of 306 runs against the West Indies. Now, the third game of the series will be played tomorrow (June 12) at 4:30 p.m.
