paiN Gaming’s run in the Fissure Playground #2 tournament came to a swift end in the Counter-Strike 2 quarterfinals. They faced Team Falcons, a formidable organization known for its significant financial backing. The best-of-three series concluded with a clear 2-0 victory for Falcons, leaving paiN with a tough defeat.
The first map, Inferno, saw paiN struggle to find their footing. They quickly fell behind, losing the round by a score of 13-5. The second map unfolded much the same way. Falcons again took control, overpowering paiN to win 13-6. This meant a disappointing exit from the tournament for the Brazilian team.

Following their loss, paiN Gaming shared their thoughts online. Their social media post read, “No excuses, we haven’t yet reached our full potential that we showed at the Austin Major to represent Brazil, and we’re out of Fissure Playground 2!” They added a promise to their fans, stating, “We’ll work hard to bring the results we can bring. We’ll be back on October 14 for the CS Asia Championships…”
A win against the Arab team would have sent paiN into the semifinals. There, they would have met FURIA, a match that would have guaranteed a Brazilian team in the final. Now, Team Falcons takes on that challenge. They are set to battle FURIA, often called “the panther,” this Saturday, the 20th, at 1 PM Brasília time.
