Asturias, Spain – Real Oviedo has officially signed Galician full-back Alvaro Lemos, who joins the team from UD Las Palmas after a medical examination and contract signing yesterday. The 31-year-old defender has secured a permanent deal until the end of the season.
Background and Experience
Prior to joining Real Oviedo, Lemos played for UD Las Palmas for the past six seasons, making 177 appearances in the Spanish Second Division. He has also experienced top-flight football with Celta and UD Las Palmas, notching nine games in the premier league.
Competition for Playing Time
Lemos joins the team at a crucial time, bolstering the right-back position ahead of the upcoming matches. He is expected to compete with Lucas for a starting spot in the lineup, replacing Viti, who departed for Las Palmas in the summer.
