Las Estrellas re-elected engineer Miguel Feris as its president this Thursday, at the annual meeting of the shareholders of his company, Corporación Deportiva de San Pedro de Macorís.
Feris was reelected for the fourth consecutive year as president of the board of directors of the Stars, the professional baseball team based in this city, San Pedro de Macorís.
The board of directors chaired by Feris also includes José Manuel Mallén Calac (vice president), Jesús Manuel Feris Ferrús (secretary), Pável Aguiló (marketing vice president), Luis Manuel Aguiló (communications vice president), Ernesto Elías Armenteros Calac (treasurer).
Mr. José Manuel Mallén, former president of the Stars, has been delegated by the board of directors to represent it in all matters concerning the operations of the club and relations with its officials.
The board of directors of the Stars appointed Jorge Moreira as administrative manager. He ratified Félix Peguero as general manager; Miguel Ángel Marte as administrator of the Tetelo Vargas Stadium (team headquarters) and Osvaldo Rodríguez Suncar as press director and coordinator of the broadcasts of the matches on radio and television.
Addressing the assembly members after his election, Feris assured that the board of directors will combine all its efforts with those of its executives, technicians and players in order to conquer the crown of champion, of which the team with the green banner was close to reach it last season, when they reached the Final Series of the tournament, against the Gigantes del Cibao.
