OPPO has just launched three new budget phones – the A5, A5 5G, and A5x. These phones are different from the A5 released in China back in March 2025. The new A5 comes with a 6.67-inch LCD screen, supporting 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. It has a 5MP front camera and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 1 chip.
The phone has four storage options: 6+128GB, 8+128GB, 4+256GB, and 8+256GB. It runs on ColorOS 15 based on Android 15. The camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP monochrome sensor. The battery has a 6,000mAh capacity with 45W charging. It comes in three colors: Midnight Purple, Aurora Green, and Mist White.
A5 5G Takes It Up a Notch
The A5 5G steps up the game with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. It also has an 8MP front camera and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip, made using 6nm tech. The phone comes in three storage options: 4+128GB, 6+128GB, and 8+256GB. You can get it in Mist White and Aurora Green.
A5x: A Different Camera Story
The A5x has specs similar to the A5 but with a single 32MP rear camera. It comes in four storage options: 4+64GB, 4+128GB, 6+128GB, and 8+128GB. The phone is available in Midnight Blue and Laser White.
OPPO hasn’t announced the prices or release dates for these phones yet.
