OPPO Band 2: the new cheap smartband is on its way to Europe

OPPO Band 2 has just been spotted on the international certification site, suggesting that its global launch could happen soon.

Last week, OPPO launched its new wearables on the Chinese market, including the Band 2. Now it seems that the brand is preparing the global launch of the smartband that could also reach the European market very soon.

The information comes through leaker Mukul Sharma, who spotted the new wearable on an international certification site (IMDA), suggesting an imminent launch.

The tiny device is packed with features for health and fitness, but it’s available at a price that’s affordable for every budget.

In the Chinese market, the base version costs 249 yuan, about 36 euros, while the variant that integrates NFC (Near Field Communications) technology was available for 299 yuan, about 43 euros.

OPPO is expected to launch a device globally with the same specifications as those available in the Chinese market. In this sense, the OPPO Band 2 will come equipped with a 1.57-inch screen, 42% larger than its AMOLED predecessor and offering a resolution of 402×256 pixels and a maximum brightness of 500 nits.

To meet the competition available on the market, OPPO’s new smartband has 100 sports modes that include monitoring of body data, such as the number of steps taken and calories burned during physical activity.

As it is water resistant to 50 meters, it can be used in activities such as swimming. In addition: the integrated GPS allows the user to visualize exercise routes, without the need for pairing with a smartphone.

As for health-oriented functions, the smartband of only 33 grams includes monitoring of heart rate, blood oxygen levels and also sleep quality.

With 200 dials included and equipped with the Apollo 3.5 processor, 8 MB of RAM and 128 MB of internal storage, Band 2 integrates an artificial intelligence system with the ability to choose a background environment for the bracelet that matches the wearer’s clothing. .

Finally, the integrated 200 mAh battery provides, according to data released by the brand, an autonomy of up to 14 days in constant operation. The device is charged using a magnetic method that integrates support for fast charging.
