OpenSea now lets you buy NFTs with credit cards and Apple Pay

You no longer need crypto coins to buy an NFT on the world’s largest NFT marketplace called OpenSea. You will soon be able to buy an NFT with a credit card, debit card or Apple Pay.

Good news for the NFT world

The fact that OpenSea can offer the new payment options is due to a collaboration with MoonPay. MoonPay is also the company that has partnered with so many celebrities to facilitate their Bored Ape NFT purchase.

By offering regular payment options, OpenSea hopes to attract more buyers. In any case, the timing is right. The platform is busier than ever and achieves a record turnover almost every month. Last month, OpenSea announced that it generated more than $5 billion in trading volume in January.

This week, the NFT marketplace also confirmed that it will start offering Solana NFTs this month. It’s not yet clear exactly when this will happen, but the NFT marketplace did tweet a short teaser video describing the eventual move as the “best kept secret in Web3.”

The announcement benefited Solana. The NFT trading volume on the Solana network rose by more than 80% on March 30, and the price of SOL itself also rose, by more than 30 percent in 7 days.
