Organization of Islamic Cooperation has strongly condemned the acts of violence against Muslims in several states of India.
According to the report of Kashmir Media Service, the OIC General Secretariat has expressed deep concern over the acts of vandalism and targeting of Muslims in several states of India during Ram Nomi processions. A seminary and its library were set on fire by Hindu fanatics.
The statement said that the OIC General Secretariat condemns these provocative acts of violence and vandalism which reflect the growing Islamophobia and systematic targeting of Muslims in India.
According to the statement, the General Secretariat of the OIC urged the Indian authorities to take strict action against the elements involved in and instigating such acts and to ensure the protection, security, rights and dignity of the Muslim community in the country.
