Pixel 5a is now official! Google has just unveiled its next mid-range, available from August 26, 2021 for $449. The manufacturer has chosen to improve the Pixel 4a 5G formula. In the program: Snapdragon 765G, IP67 certified, 6.34 ″ panel (2400 x 1800 px) and larger battery capacity. We take stock.
As rumors predicted, Google decided to introduce the Pixel 5a in August 2021. In fact, the Mountain View company has just lifted the veil in its upcoming mid-range this Tuesday, August 17th, 2021. As we can expect , Pixel 5a intends to establish itself as the worthy successor to Pixel 4a 5G. So it’s not surprising to find nearly identical specs like the Snapdragon 765G processor, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory, the usual dual photosensor consisting of a 12.2 MP wide angle lens and a 16 MP ultra wide angle lens.
The smartphone will be powered by Android 11 (before a later migration to Android 12). So, you tell me? First, Pixel 5a benefits from a IP 67 certification. In other words, the device is totally protected against dust, being able to withstand the effects of immersion up to one meter deep.
Pixel 5a: a stronger and longer lasting Pixel 4a 5G

For now, Google Pixel 5a will be available on just one color “Almost all black”, which is actually a very dark green. Regarding the price, it’s a nice surprise since the manufacturer has decided to reduce the invoice value by €50, compared to the Pixel 4a 5G.
