In the current Caribbean Premier League (CPL) season, fans have witnessed a stormy century with explosive batsman Nicholas Pooran’s bat. In Game 20 of this CPL season, the Trinbago Knight Riders team took on the Barbados Royals team. After losing the throw, the Knight Riders team got the first hit with 20 points. After that, Nicholas Pooran was sent to bat and none of the opposing team’s bowlers had an answer as to the speed with which he began scoring from here.
Nicholas Pooran played an unbeaten inning with 102 runs and 53 balls until the end of the inning. At the other end he received the support of Guptill and then Russell. Puran had completed his century in 51 balls in that match. It also contained 5 fours and 10 sixes. Based on those brilliant innings from Puran, the Knight Riders team was able to accumulate a total of 208 runs over 20 overs.

It was no easy feat for the Barbados Royals to complete that goal ahead of the Knight Riders bowlers. Kyle Meyers certainly played an inning of 70 runs, 45 balls for the Royals team, but other than that other hitters didn’t manage to spend much time on the field. The Barbados Royals team managed just 166 points in 20 overs and lost the match by 42 runs.
If we look at the list of top 10 players with the most runs in the 2023 CPL season, Nicholas Pooran is second with 188 runs in 6 innings at a 37.60 average. Ahead of him is his teammate Martin Guptill, who has scored 193 runs in 7 innings so far this season.
