New Zealand Sweeps Pakistan in ODI Series with 43-Run Win

New Zealand crushed Pakistan in the one-day series, taking the final match by 43 runs. The third one-day match was shortened to 42 overs due to rain.

New Zealand batted first, scoring 264 runs for 8 wickets in 42 overs. Rhys Mariu hit 58 and captain Michael Bracewell added 59. Pakistan’s response was 221 runs in 40 overs. Babar Azam top-scored with 50 runs, including 4 fours and a six.

New Zealand dominated the series from the start. They won the first one-day match by 73 runs and the second by 84 runs. Ben Sears was the star bowler for New Zealand, taking 5 wickets for 34 runs in 9 overs. Jacob Duffy took 2 wickets, while Muhammad Abbas, Daryl Mitchell, and Michael Bracewell each got one.

This wasn’t Pakistan’s first loss to New Zealand on the tour. The Kiwis had already won the T20 series 4-1. Even with senior players like Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, Pakistan couldn’t win a single match in the 3-match series.
