The Minister of the Interior, Carlos Negro, and the Director of the National Police, José Azambuya, led the formal ceremony for the inauguration of the new authorities of the Maldonado Police Department this Tuesday. This significant event marked a new chapter for the department, as Víctor Trezza took the reins as the head of the department just last Saturday, March 1st. During the ceremony, the deputy chief and coordinator of the Maldonado Police Department were also officially sworn into their positions.
As Trezza settles into his new role, he expressed his commitment to building on the existing foundations laid by his predecessor. In a conversation with News Agency, he noted, “We found the department to be very organized, and our goal is to continue and improve the management that was in place.” He also underscored his ambitious plans for the future, stating, “We have high expectations and are dedicated to enhancing the department’s performance to provide greater security and peace of mind for the residents of Maldonado.” With a clear vision and a strong team in place, Trezza is poised to make a positive impact on the community, and his priorities are firmly focused on delivering results that will benefit the people of Maldonado.
