The summer holidays continue, and the month of July is coming to an end. For streaming platforms, a new month means new releases.
And this month of August is likely to be rather loaded with novelties, whether it’s netflix or of Disney+. Something to occupy your weekends and vacation days for those who have not had the chance to leave.

netflix will celebrate the month of August with some new features on the program, including exclusives, whether series or films.
From the first of Augustthe platform will add to its catalog a whole collection of cult films by Tom Cruisewhich will contain the famous TOP GUN (1986), the Mission: Impossible seriesas well as Vanilla Sky. Series SandmanNetflix exclusive, will appear in the titles from August 5. The story, inspired by the comics of the same name, will follow this cosmic being forced to repair the chaos that his impromptu absence will have caused in the different worlds and temporalities.
The Fate of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie will be another Netflix exclusive that will appear August 5. An animated film whose graphics are inspired by comics, it will put our heroes to the test against the invasion of the Krang, particularly dangerous extraterrestrials.
The output of the season 3 of Lock & Key will also be there! It will be from the series finale Netflix. Appointment August 10 for the final outcome.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine will finally see sa 8e season appear on Netflix! The month of August promises to be very busy on Disney+ ! Between the different series STAR WARS and MARVEL to come, not to mention new films exclusive to the platform, Disney+ has bet big. It remains to be seen whether the expectations of the spectators will be met!
MARVEL in the lead…
Next month, it will not be one but two Marvel series that will be unveiled to the general public.
I am Groot, whose only trailer was unveiled at Comic-Con in San Diego a few days ago, will be available from next august 10. The series will consist of five original short films which will follow the improbable adventures of baby groot, and promises humor and cuteness. It will constitute an independent adventure from that of the Guardians and will take place after the events of the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2.
She-Hulk: Lawyer – While the trailers for the series have not garnered unanimous support, it remains to be seen what the series is actually worth on screen. You will have to wait until August 17 next to meet and follow the adventures of Jennifer Walters.
… and STAR WARS playing big
One of the first heroes of the Rebellion, Cassian Andoris back for a origin story declined in series. The biographical film Tolkien will appear on Disney+ on August 26and returns to the youth of the famous author of the saga The Lord of the Rings. What better way to start the new series Rings of Power which will be released next September on Amazon Prime?
