A 23-year-old man was shot dead in the CH67 housing complex in Nuevo París. His body was found in a laundry room early Sunday afternoon.
The police were called to the scene and discovered the victim’s body along with two 9mm bullet casings. The investigation is ongoing, but no one has been arrested so far. The housing complex is located at the intersection of Luis Batlle Berres and Cañas.
Police Investigation Underway
Forensic experts processed the crime scene, and Prosecutor Mirta Morales is awaiting the results of their analysis. She has also asked the police to review security footage from the area and interview witnesses.
Just hours before this incident, a 27-year-old man was fatally shot in the head in the Conciliación neighborhood. The police are likely to be under pressure to solve both cases quickly.
