Movie actor Piyush Mishra is playing a major role in the recently released web series ‘Salt City’. Speaking of the series, Piyush Mishra said, “He just likes to play a complex character that challenges him creatively.” The story of ‘Salt City’ is set in Mumbai and revolves around a displaced family from Lucknow. Piyush Bajpayee plays the role of the family’s guardian in the series.
The actor told what he did to choose this project. The actor said: ‘It was a well-written story and writing matters to me. When it comes to my character, it’s very difficult to make a choice. I’m only interested in playing complex characters.
When asked what is the most challenging part of living in Mumbai for someone who comes from a small town, Piyush replied, “The city is only for those who can deal with tough competition. It is a very fast-paced city. If you can’t drain with it the city will take you in a different direction you see here in mumbai there are opportunities for theater artists, singers, dancers, actors or anyone like me because it’s the center of everything let us tell you that in this Divyendu series, Gauhar Khan, Navni Parihar, Isha Chopra, Nivedita Bhattacharya and others are seen in the lead role.’Salt City’, produced by Applause Entertainment and Sunshine Productions and directed by Rishabh Anupam Sahai, premieres June 16 on SonyLIV .
