Monte Carlo Masters 1000: the Greek Tsitsipas was crowned for the second time

The Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas was consecrated for the second consecutive year in the Monte Carlo Masters 1000, after beating Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the final 6-3, 7-6 (7-3), and thus obtained his eighth ATP title.

Despite the defeat, Davidovich Fokina showed character and was up to the task against a rival with much more experience in this type of tournaments, and that he ranks third in the professional tennis ladder.

In this way, Tsitsipas became a two-time champion in Monte Carlo and garnered his eighth title, after obtaining Stockholm 2018, Marseille, Estoril and the ATP World Tour Finals in 2019, Marseille in 2020 and Lyon last year.

The next tournaments to be played on the clay tour in Europe will be the ATPs in Barcelona and Belgrade, while the fourth Masters 1000 of the season, which will be held in Madrid, will begin on May 1.
