Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan has expressed profound sorrow following the sudden death of Vedant Devadiga, the assistant manager of his Pro Kabaddi League team, the Jaipur Pink Panthers. Devadiga was 22 years old and was reportedly much beloved by all members of the team.
Bachchan shared his condolences and recounted the team’s tribute on his official X (formerly Twitter) account. He revealed that despite the tragic loss, the team opted to play their next match as a mark of respect for Devadiga.
The actor praised the team’s spirit, noting that players honored Devadiga by wearing his name on their headbands. He extended his best wishes to the team for their dedication.

The Jaipur Pink Panthers organization also posted its own tribute. The team’s message highlighted Devadiga’s passion and dedication, stating these qualities would always be remembered. Their prayers are with his family.
In other news, Bachchan continues a busy schedule across various projects. He is set to lend his voice to “120 Bahadur,” a film based on true events from the 1962 India-China war.
This information was revealed during an episode of “Kaun Banega Crorepati,” the popular quiz show Bachchan hosts. Guests Farhan Akhtar and Javed Akhtar discussed the film, with Farhan expressing honor that Bachchan’s voice would open the movie.
Bachchan will also voice the character Jatayu in Nitesh Tiwari’s “Ramayana,” scheduled for a 2026 release. Additionally, he is slated to appear in “Kalki 2898 AD 2.”
