Megabonk Anti-Cheat Blitz: Vidinad Bans Exploiting Players, Resets Leaderboards

There’s nothing quite like the rush of a new game hitting its stride. Megabonk, a fresh title, quickly found its fans. People jumped in, eager to prove their skills. However, the fun quickly dimmed for many because of a familiar problem: cheaters. Some players figured out how to unfairly boost their scores, making the competitive leaderboards a frustrating mess. The developers, Vidinad, knew they had to step in.

Vidinad recently took a strong stance. They completely reset the top scores on Megabonk’s leaderboard. Many of the highest-ranking players, who had scores stretching into the millions, were using cheating programs. It turned out almost all of the Top 10 spots were taken by these dishonest players. Vidinad didn’t just clear the numbers; they also banned these accounts. This action was announced through their official channels, ensuring everyone understood the severity of the issue and the developers’ commitment to fair play. You can read more about their decision there.

The team didn’t stop at just banning cheaters. They also made some important changes to how the game plays. One key adjustment was to a specific weapon, Joe’s Dagger. This dagger was incredibly powerful, often taking down enemies in a single hit. Now, its damage output has been capped. This means players can no longer rely on it for instant wins, bringing more balance to matches. Vidinad has also promised more fresh content and updates for Megabonk in the coming months. We’ll have to wait and see what else they have in store for players.

Megabonk is currently available for players on PC.
