MediaTek DImensity 8100 manages to outperform Snapdragon 8 Gen 1

MediaTek has recently introduced two new processors for the mid/high-end market. They are Dimensity 8000 and Dimensity 8100, two solutions that fall on a slightly lower level than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

However, early benchmark results show that Qualcomm’s new high-end processor can’t outperform the new Dimensity 8100. Results that will give all techies pause.

MediaTek Dimensity 8100 proves to be much more powerful than expected

The information was shared by the well-known leaker Digital chat station. These represent the passage of several Realme teams on the Geekbench platform and the results are surprising.

The supposed Realme GT Neo 3 passed the test platform with the new Dimensity 8100 and scored 966 points on a single core and 3901 in multicore. In contrast, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 scored 1273 and 3809 points respectively.

The superiority in the tests with a Qualcomm processor core is justified by the use of the Cortex-X1 core. However, when we look at the scores achieved with all cores, MediaTek’s SoC comes out on top.

These data once again reveal the superiority of the new MediaTek processors over Qualcomm’s competitors. This happened with the Dimensity 9000, but the Dimensity 8100 was not expected.

I remember that the Dimensity 8100 launched with a less powerful alternative to the Dimensity 9000. If we compare it to Qualcomm processors, it would be a competitor for the Snapdragon 870.

However, the new SoC from MediaTek proved to be more powerful than Qualcomm’s supersede, which should be a step above. Something that should not go unnoticed by those responsible for the American semiconductor company.
