Masaltos.com, a Spanish shoe company known for its height-boosting footwear for men, is now selling on two major online marketplaces: Shein and Temu. Founded in 1993, Masaltos.com has been shipping shoes to over 120 countries for years. Its customers are spread across the globe, from Japan and Russia to Mexico and the United Arab Emirates. The company’s shoes can add up to 7 centimeters to a man’s height.
These new marketplaces are huge. Shein has around 90 million users and made about $32.5 billion in 2023. That’s close to what big fashion companies like Inditex and H&M make. Shein sells over 600,000 products and is known for making fashion fast and cheap, which appeals to younger shoppers.
Temu, launched in 2022 by PDD Holdings, has grown fast too. In just six months, it doubled its user base to over 500 million. By 2024, it was making an estimated $35 billion. Temu is now the second most-visited online shopping site, just behind Amazon.
Masaltos.com wasn’t just looking to join these platforms – Shein and Temu chose to invite them. Both platforms carefully pick the brands they work with, and they liked Masaltos.com’s unique, high-quality shoes. This partnership helps Masaltos.com reach more customers worldwide while giving Shein and Temu a new product that stands out.
Why This Move Matters
For Masaltos.com, being on these platforms is about being where their customers are. “Today, people are on Shein and Temu,” said Antonio Fagundo, Masaltos.com’s CEO. “These platforms give us huge visibility because users don’t just buy – they browse for a long time, looking at products.”
The initial deal covers Spain and major EU countries, but Masaltos.com has also been invited to enter the US market, which could be its next step.
