Castellón Reinforces Squad with Mamadou Traoré
Castellón has officially announced the signing of Malian winger Mamadou Traoré, a familiar face to the team after his loan spell last season. Traoré has parted ways with Royale Union Saint-Gilloise and joins Castellón on a permanent basis.
The 22-year-old winger arrives at Castellón on a free transfer, with a percentage of any future sale going to his former Belgian club. Traoré has committed to the team until June 30, 2028.
Traoré’s Background and Experience
Traoré has had limited playing time in the Belgian First Division this season, with only 20 minutes of game time. However, his experience in the First RFEF last season, where he played 11 league games and two cup games for Castellón, has left a positive impression on the coaching staff. Despite not being a regular starter, Traoré showed promise and gained prominence before an injury in the second round halted his progress.
Traoré’s Signing Marks Second Winter Market Addition
Traoré’s arrival is the second signing for Castellón in the winter market, following the announcement of American forward Nick Markanich in August.
