A dramatic scene unfolded in the Malvín Norte neighborhood, where a potential robbery was thwarted by swift action from the PADO (Policía de Montevideo) officers. The incident occurred near the intersection of Boix and Merino streets, where two would-be thieves attempted to hijack a passing vehicle.
PADO officers on motorcycle patrol happened upon the scene, witnessing the armed delinquents intercepting the vehicle with the intention of robbing it. As soon as the officers detected the suspicious activity, they ordered the perpetrators to halt.
