Malan named Irish cricket team coach, to replace Graham Ford

Dublin | The Irish cricket team has a new coach in the form of Henrik Malan. Cricket Ireland released this information on January 4. Malan has signed a three-year contract and will replace fellow countryman Graham Ford and start work in March 2022.

Malan has also been the head coach of New Zealand A-team and has also served as hitting coach with the senior team. He is currently in charge of the Auckland Aces, which he led to success in the 2019-2020 Ford Trophy.

Commenting on Malan’s appointment, Cricket Ireland Director of High Performance Richard Holdsworth said: “We are delighted to have Henrik as head coach and look forward to the international team moving forward.
