Madras High Court Order on 'Jai Bheem' controversy: 'Strict action should not be taken against Surya and his team'

Tamil movie ‘Jai Bhim’, released in the year 2021, is one of the most talked about and popular movies of that year. Although the film was not released in theaters but on the Amazon Prime Video OTT platform. This film had left a deep impression on people’s hearts, although even after such popularity, the film was involved in controversy. A case was registered against actor Surya, director TJ Gnanavel, and actress Jyothika for portraying a community in the wrong way. But now there is some relief news for director TJ Gnanavel and actor Suriya.

The matter was heard in the Madras High Court on July 18, where the court ordered that no coercive action be taken against Surya and his team until the next hearing. Judge Satishkumar heard the matter and adjourned the hearing on Surya and Gyanvel’s petition on the Jai Bhim case. Now the next hearing in the case will be held on July 21. According to the court order, until then no strict action will be taken against any member of the team, including Surya, Jyothika and Gyanvel.
