The New Zealand golfer Lydia Ko secured her 23rd LPGA Tour title in Singapore, winning with a score of 69 on the final day, 14 under par. This impressive performance saw her take the top spot, followed by Carlota Ciganda from Spain, who finished in 14th place, and Gaby López from Mexico, who came in fourth.
As the leader going into the last day, Lydia Ko played a consistent game, finishing with a total of 275 strokes (71-67-68-69). She was able to hold off Ayaka Furue from Japan and Jeeno Thitikul from Thailand, who both finished with 279 strokes, 9 under par at the Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore. Ko’s victory margin was four strokes, a testament to her skill and composure under pressure.
Carlota Ciganda, the sole Spanish competitor, had a notable climb up the rankings, moving from 17th place to 14th. She achieved this with a total of 284 strokes, 4 under par, after carding 70 on the final day (71-71-72-70). Ciganda shared her final position with Nasa Hataoka from Japan, Nana Koerstz from Denmark, and Pajaree Anannarukam from Thailand, all of whom finished with the same score.
The best performance of the day came from Jin Young Ko’s fellow South Korean, Jin Hee Im, who scored 67. However, it was actually the South Korean Jin Young Ko’s compatriot, not Jin Young Ko herself, Jin Hee Im who ended up tied for fourth place with a total of 281 (72-74-68-67), 7 under par. She was tied with Mexico’s Gaby López (70-73-68-70) and England’s Charley Hull (69-70-68-74), who had led the competition early on.
