Portuguese third-division club Marco 09 has announced the immediate departure of head coach Paulo Mendes and his entire technical staff, citing a dismal performance record.
Mendes’s dismissal comes after the team secured only one victory in the Liga 3 championship. The club also suffered a recent elimination from the Portuguese Cup last Saturday, falling to Farense.
Marco 09 did not specify the exact reasons for the change in leadership. However, the club publicly thanked Mendes for his professionalism during his tenure.
Mendes was originally contracted to lead the team in Liga 3. The club indicated that an announcement regarding a new coach is expected in the coming days.
