Lenovo just pulled back the curtain on its newest portable gaming machine. It’s called the Legion Go 2. This big reveal happened at their Lenovo Innovation World 2025 event. That event was part of IFA 2025, a major tech show held in Berlin, Germany.
The Legion Go 2 looks a lot like its older brother, the original Legion Go from 2024. But don’t let the similar looks fool you. Lenovo packed in some serious upgrades, especially under the hood and in the battery department.
At its heart, the Legion Go 2 runs on an AMD Ryzen Z2 processor. This is the Z2 Extreme version. It can zip along at 2.0 GHz normally, and even hit 5.0 GHz when things get intense. Graphics are handled by an AMD Radeon 890M chip. This graphics unit can ramp up to a speedy 2,900 MHz.
This powerful setup works with fast RAM, clocking in at 8,000 MHz. You can get up to 32 GB of this memory. For storing your games, it uses quick PCIe Gen 4 storage, with options up to 2 TB. Need more space? No problem, it also takes MicroSD cards.

The screen is a real showstopper. It’s an 8.8-inch OLED panel. You get crisp images with a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution. It also features a dynamic refresh rate, from 30 up to 144 Hz. This means smooth action for any game or video. The display shines brightly at 500 Nits and supports HDR TrueBlack 1000 colors.
Powering all this is a beefed-up 4-cell battery. It provides a generous 74 Whr of power. This is a big jump from the first Legion Go, which had a 49.2 Whr battery. Even with the bigger battery, the whole device weighs 920 grams.
Other cool features include a fingerprint sensor on the power button. You’ll find two USB4 ports, both supporting Power Delivery 4.0. There are also two microphones for clear audio. For connectivity, it has Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.

Lenovo plans to release the Legion Go 2 in September 2025. It will hit shelves in select countries. The starting price for this new portable gaming device will be 999 Euros.
