Kylie Jenner Debuts First Song ‘Fourth Strike’ as King Kylie

Kylie Jenner has officially launched her music career, debuting her first song, “Fourth Strike.” The track, a collaboration with pop duo Terror Jr, premiered at midnight on Tuesday, October 14.

Jenner is credited on the song as King Kylie, an alter ego she first introduced over a decade ago. She contributes a spoken-sung verse near the end of the mid-tempo R&B track.

Her lyrics include: “One strike, two strike, let me get the mood right / I just wanna tell you I’m sorry.” She continues, “Touch me baby, tell me I’m your baby / Write your name all over my body,” concluding with a whispered “King Kylie.”

This marks a full-circle moment for Jenner and Terror Jr. The beauty mogul previously collaborated with the duo in 2016 when their song “Three Strikes” was featured in a Kylie Cosmetics lip gloss advertisement.

At that time, fans widely speculated that Jenner was the anonymous lead vocalist for the group. She later confirmed via Snapchat in November 2016 that she was not a member of the band.

Jenner announced “Fourth Strike” on Instagram, expressing her excitement. She explained that while she wasn’t the voice on “Three Strikes,” she approached Terror Jr to be an actual guest artist on their new song. She admitted to being “sooooo nervous” but “so grateful” for the opportunity.

Her Instagram post also included behind-the-scenes glimpses. These showed her recording in the studio and playing the song for friends and her children, Stormi, 7, and Aire, 3, whom she shares with Travis Scott.

The music debut ties into Jenner’s new King Kylie collection for Kylie Cosmetics. A commercial for this collection, featuring “Fourth Strike” as its soundtrack, was released on Monday, October 13.
