Kolkata Knight Riders snapped their losing streak with a convincing 8-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals. The Knight Riders’ bowlers set the tone, restricting the Royals to 151 runs. Quinton de Kock then took center stage, his unbeaten 97 steering the team to victory with 15 balls to spare.
De Kock and Moeen Ali opened the batting, but Ali’s debut for KKR was short-lived, falling for 5 runs. Captain Ajinkya Rahane followed, caught by Wanindu Hasaranga for 18. De Kock, however, held firm, playing some sublime shots to ease the pressure.
After Rahane’s dismissal, Angkrish Raghuvanshi joined de Kock, and together they navigated the chase with aplomb. De Kock sealed the win with a six in the 18th over, finishing just shy of a century with 97 off 61 balls, including 6 sixes and 8 fours.
