Kim Kardashian: ChatGPT Made Me Fail Law Exams

Kim Kardashian has openly shared her frustrating experience with generative AI. The reality star admitted that using ChatGPT for her law exam preparation has yielded "mediocre" results. She revealed the AI chatbot has actually caused her to fail exams.

Kardashian, 45, made these candid remarks during the latest edition of Vanity Fair‘s popular YouTube lie detector series. Her co-star from "All’s Fair," Teyana Taylor, questioned her about using ChatGPT for life or dating advice.

The aspiring attorney clarified she hasn’t used AI for her personal life. However, she confirmed its use for "legal advice," stating she uploads photos of questions to the platform.

Kardashian lamented that ChatGPT’s answers are "always wrong." This has consistently led to her failing her exams.

She described her reactions, saying she gets angry and "yells" at the AI. She recounted asking it, "You made me fail. Why did you do this?"

ChatGPT’s responses have been surprisingly philosophical. Kardashian quoted the AI telling her, "This is just teaching you to trust your own instincts. You always knew the answer."

Teyana Taylor, 34, then suggested that ChatGPT acts more like a "frenemy" or a "toxic friend." Kardashian readily agreed with this assessment.

"Toxic friends, but they need to do better because I really trust them to help me," Kardashian explained. She added that the AI then becomes her therapist, explaining why she needs to believe in herself.

Kardashian often screenshots these conversations. She sends them to her group chat, expressing disbelief at how the AI "talks to me like this."

Kardashian has been dedicated to her legal studies for several years. She has already successfully passed the "baby bar" examination. This is a crucial step before taking the California bar exam.

Despite her progress, Kardashian stated she does not yet consider herself a "real lawyer." She did confirm, however, that she has offered legal advice to friends and family.

During an appearance on the UK’s Graham Norton Show on October 24, Kardashian expressed optimism about her legal career. She anticipated earning her degree within two weeks and hoped to practice law by the end of the year.

She envisions a future where she transitions from "Kim K." to a litigating attorney within a decade. This, she stated, is her true ambition.

Fans have followed Kardashian’s legal journey through E!’s Keeping Up With the Kardashians and Hulu’s The Kardashians. Her pursuit of a legal career has been a prominent storyline.

In December 2021, Kardashian announced she had passed the "baby bar." She described it as the first of two required exams under her study method in California.

She acknowledged that prominent lawyers had called her chosen path "almost impossible" and more challenging than traditional law school. However, she emphasized it was her only option and felt proud of her progress.

Kardashian also paid tribute to her late father, Robert Kardashian. He was a renowned attorney, notably representing O.J. Simpson during his 1995 murder trial.

She expressed certainty that her father would be "so proud" and surprised by her chosen path. She believes he would have been her "best study partner."

Kardashian noted her father was known for teasing those who didn’t pass on their first attempt. Yet, she felt confident he would have been her biggest supporter.
