Although the BCCI has not issued an official statement on the severity of the injury, it is likely to cause concern for the team ahead of the second match.

England’s Playing 11 Announced

Meanwhile, the England team has announced its playing 11 for the second T20 match, with Brandon Cars replacing fast bowler Gus Atkinson. The Indian team will need to reassess its strategy if Abhishek Sharma is unable to play, potentially leading to changes in the playing 11.

If Abhishek Sharma is ruled out, Tilak Verma may be considered to open the innings, and Washington Sundar could be included in the playing 11. The team will need to make a decision on the lineup ahead of the match on January 25.
