Kesari Veer Box Office Collection: Historical Drama Fails to Impress Audiences

The dust has settled, and the numbers are in. “Kesari Veer,” the historical epic starring Sooraj Pancholi, Suniel Shetty, Akanksha Sharma, and Vivek Oberoi, has failed to cast its spell on audiences. Despite its promising premise and sizeable budget, the film’s box office performance has been underwhelming.

On its opening day, “Kesari Veer” managed to scrape together a mere 25 lakhs in ticket sales. Things only took a turn for the worse on its second day, with collections plummeting to a paltry 20 lakhs. As of now, the film’s total earnings stand at a disappointing 45 lakhs – a far cry from its estimated budget of 50-60 crores.

Directed by Prince Dhiman, “Kesari Veer” tells the story of brave warriors who laid down their lives to protect the revered Somnath temple. Unfortunately, the film’s narrative has failed to resonate with viewers, and critics haven’t been kind either. With its weak storyline and lackluster reception, it’s unlikely that “Kesari Veer” will be able to recover from this poor start.

The movie faced stiff competition from other releases, including Rajkummar Rao’s “Bhool Chook Maaf,” which has been giving “Kesari Veer” a run for its money. Other films like “Red 2” and “Mission Impossible 8” are also doing brisk business, leaving “Kesari Veer” in the dust. Given its dismal performance, it’s likely that this historical drama will be making a swift exit from theaters in its first week itself.
