Keith Jordan Jr. scored 34 points and won the Most Valuable Player award, in the victory of “Team Jassel” 120-106 over “Team Juanco” during the 2022 All-Star Game of the National Basketball League (LNB), held this Saturday at the Fabio Rafael González.

The reinforcement of the Titanes del Distrito Nacional, in addition to being the top scorer of the challenge, showed off shooting 14-12 from the field and 5-4 in triples in 27:40 minutes of play in which he made several spectacular plays.

“The shot was falling to me and that was the key. The overall experience was excellent. The dynamic was quite good in the team. I have had a lot of fun and I will always remember it, ”said Jordan Jr. after concluding the meeting.

Jassel Pérez, also of the Titans, escorted Jordan with 23 points, while Luis Jacobo, of the local Marineros de Puerto Plata, scored 21 points for the winners, who shot 57 percent from the field and 36-18 ( 50%) in triples.

For “Team Juanco”, Bernardo Polanco of the Mariners scored 31 and grabbed 7 rebounds, Víctor Martínez of the La Vega Royals scored 14, as did Trahson Burrell of the Mariners. The losers shot 52 percent from the field and 43-for-22 (51%) on 3-pointers.

After the victory of “Team Jassel”, the president of the LNBm Antonio Mir gave Pérez and the manager Richard Ortega a cash prize to distribute among the players of the winning team.

The first half was won by Team Jassel 59-53, with Jacobo and Jordan Jr. standing out with 14 points each and Yancarlos Martínez with 12. Team Juanco, who was down by 19 at one point, had Polanco with 15 points, Jordan Williams with 8 and Anyeuri Castillo with 7 in the first 20 minutes.

The quarters ended 38-28, 21-25, 28-20 and 33-33 for “Team Jassel”.

Recognition to Victor Sierra

During halftime, the National Basketball League recognized Víctor Sierra for his great contributions to Dominican basketball as technical director. From the hands of Mir, Sierra received a plaque in the act in which executives of the LNB were present, as well as the referees of the match.

The artistic show during the middle of the meeting was in charge of Kaly Ocho.
