Kangana Ranaut Talked About 'The Kerala Story' Controversy - 'Banning The Film Is An Insult To The Constitution'

Sudipto Sen’s film The Kerala Story is earning a lot at the box office. This movie has joined the 200 crore club. At the same time, the controversy over ‘The Kerala Story’ continues even before its release. Some people support this movie, while others say it’s propaganda. Now Kangana Ranaut has given her reaction on the matter.

According to the PTI news agency, Kangana Ranaut said: “The banning of the film The Kerala Story, approved by the Central Board of Film Certification, in some states is an insult to the Constitution. Kangana Ranaut told reporters: ‘Banning a film that has been approved by the censorship board is an insult to the constitution. It is absolutely wrong to ban The Kerala Story in some states.

The actress said that people keep complaining to the Bollywood film industry that it doesn’t make the kind of movies they want to see. Kangana Ranaut said, ‘When a movie like The Kerala Story is made, people’s complaints disappear. Movies that people like to watch, the movie industry only benefits from.

It can be learned that the West Bengal government had banned the film The Kerala Story on May 8 in view of the tension between the communities. Theaters in Tamil Nadu had decided to stop showing it citing the public order situation and low viewership. However, last week, the Supreme Court stayed the West Bengal government’s order banning the film in the state and asked Tamil Nadu to ensure the safety of moviegoers.
