Nag Ashwin’s Journey

While director Nag Ashwin shares his directorial credit on this epic, what’s striking about "Kalki 2898 AD" is his personal connection with the project. As he revealed in an interview, Ashwin initially had doubts about being able to complete his career-making film. "After seeing articles and videos on the internet based on the idea of Chiranjeevi, I started envisioning stories based on Mahabharata from Bollywood production houses… it fueled my desire to tell my story."

The Inspiration Behind "Kalki 2898 AD"
The idea started with a short story about Mahabharata. "From the death of Krishna to a time 6000 years ahead in 2898 AD" became his canvas for a complete story. Director Ashwin also explained why he felt taking a bold stance with the incomplete narrative in the Mahabharata.

"’I am working with incomplete stories from another world to tell something for which there has never been a response on such scale.’ It is challenging and at the same time extremely rewarding.

Unlikely Audiences

"Unfaltering courage is needed, which he demonstrated, having his biggest film as last before planning to wrap things up with one final film, according to an unnamed source close to him."

By taking up something not known to others on this path, Ashwin displayed great heart and a daring story about taking on Mahabharata

"That Means His Purpose Remained Undetected, There Were no signs that in such turmoil, this immortal Ashwathama’s future plans weren’t completed either, after 3100 to the first year 2 from Krishna the time when Chiranjeevi Chirajeevi left in between 18 days Kaurakshtra victorious Kurkshtra from Lord in Mahabharatha".
