Kajol, the beloved actress, is gearing up for the second season of her series, ‘The Trial’. As the show approaches, she shared some candid thoughts about her long career. She made it clear that she wouldn’t change a single thing about her journey in cinema.
The actress expressed that she fully owns every film she has made. This includes blockbuster hits like ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ and ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’. It also covers movies that didn’t perform as well, such as ‘Gundaraj’ and ‘Hulchul’. Her upcoming series, ‘The Trial’ Season 2, will soon be available for viewers.
Kajol’s Take on Her Films
Kajol made her big screen debut in 1992 with the film ‘Bekhudi’. She told PTI that she holds pride in all her movies, even those that didn’t do well at the box office. “Every film taught me something,” she explained. “I always gave my best. I can proudly say I was honest in front of the camera.”
In 1995, Kajol starred in huge hits like ‘Karan Arjun’ and ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’. However, that same year saw her in films like ‘Taakat’, ‘Hulchal’, and ‘Gundaraj’, which didn’t find much success. She points out that even if some films didn’t sell many tickets, she gained valuable lessons from them.
Reflecting on a 30-Year Journey
Kajol feels grateful for her three decades in the entertainment world. “It’s my luck that I am still relevant today,” she stated. “Many talented people haven’t been as fortunate as me.” She added, “I have lived my life on camera – I fell, I rose, I got married, I became a mother, and people still love me.”
About ‘The Trial’ Season 2
Kajol will return as Noyonika in ‘The Trial’ Season 2 on Jio Hotstar. The second season will stream on September 19. She shared that playing the same character again was a fresh challenge for her. “In a film, the character’s journey ends,” she noted. “But in a series, you get to develop them further. It’s truly enjoyable.” In this new season, Noyonika has established herself in the legal world and will face fresh obstacles. ‘The Trial’ is an adaptation of the American show ‘The Good Wife’.
